Malca Levy recounts the adventures of Djouha. This half-ridiculous, half-clever character is from "everywhere", thus uniting us in our humanity and Malca is able to present him to us in a nicely illustrated, friendly little book, introduced by people from cultures... not really so different. Also introduced by our life as children in Africa and I found with nostalgia a very beautiful figure from my youth: the Grand Rabbi Moïse Levy. He barely appears but is so present... Djouha – Hodja has a saving effect on each of us: he makes us laugh or smile at his stupidities... stupidities that we are not likely to do! The slightly clumsy child tells himself that he is really not the worst, the adult who feels bad about himself ends up feeling better through the comic contrast and we all have the opportunity to laugh at our human condition. We are all Djouha!
